Giving Reason the boot...

well after some careful evaluation, and after experiencing the might that is logic pro 6, i've decided to nix reason 2.5 from my music arsenal. mostly because it's limited in fidelity, and very linear programming wise. Of course there are work arounds to those problems, but i feel that having to spend too much time to get what you want can cause ( Read more... )

just remember reason and protools...they are just paint brushes...whats really important is whats in your head you can spend time worriying about if your brush is made out of sable or camel hair you just worry about the painting because when the piece is done no one is gonna care which one you use they are just going to care about what was going on in your head. one is really not better then the other its just the limits in your head.

to a certain extent yes. however i'm kinda obsessed with sound quality right now. i want to go to school and make the best quality possible. so that's why i'm trying to nix all things that are limited. mabye i'm just a perfectionist :P

no i think your just a snob who likes to thinks its perfectionist. its music...its entirely subjective to think there is a perfect sound destries the whole concept of music and art. what you are doing is overanalyzing it and thus holding yourself back from growing more in your work...

ya, you're right. what i'm actually looking for is the perfect brush to sit in my hand in that way that is condusive to creation. that and i'm a creature of change. i get more interested when i get new stuff and new programs and the like ( ... )
