The Candy Spooky Theater @ Pacific Media Expo - 11/9/07

Dec 02, 2007 18:47

The Candy Spooky Theater's first live in Los Angeles, and the furthest I've ever travelled to see them. (So far. XD) Was it worth the cross-country trip? Yes, and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Looking back on the PMX live, in comparison to the band's lives in May... something seems different. I can't quite put my finger on what, although ( Read more... )

Ah~ It sounds like it was a blast!
I'm glad you had fun! Your reviews are so great, it feels like I was actually there when I read them...even though I wasn't T_T haha
It's also cool to see the guys had a bit more of a set on stage this time around, for a band as visual as they are it really helps with the overall mood of things.

Yes, I definitely agree. I know it's really important to them, and they did say they wanted to bring their stage set over in May, but I guess the stages were all too small for much decorating, lol. This was really cool, it set an awesome atmosphere and a few times jack would actually, like, throw his arm over the mummy's shoulder as he was singing, ROFL.

Now all they have to do is bring Linda-chan to the US! XDDD Yeah, like that'll happen... well, we can hope, lol...

Peggy was so ashamed of his bass problem in NYC. He apologized a lot for it on MSN... poor Peggy!

Awwwww! ;_; He really shouldn't feel bad at all, these things happen. During the actual show I didn't know what was going on, so I was hoping it wasn't, like, some personal problem he was experiencing... and I was sincerely hoping he was okay. I think most people who understood it was a technical issue were very sympathetic. Awwwwww poor Peggy...! *patpat XD*

Your live reports are awesome. I read the ones from when you saw TCST in New York before I had even heard their music, and still enjoyed reading it. XD

I actually finally found some of their songs on MySpace a few days ago, and I absolutely love their music! *_* I really wish I had been here in NYC when they did those concerts in May, and here's hoping they decide to come back here again! ^^

Anyway, I'm really glad you had such a great time. ^_^

And I think we all get nervous around our favorite musicians. When I met Yoshiki at Jrock Revolution, I told him "Thank you", and wanted to add something along the lines of "Thank you for organizing Jrock Revolution, for being an awesome musician, and for everything really". But all I could do was trip over the words "Thank you" a few more times. XD"

Awwww! XD Well, Yoshiki is... Yoshiki, come on, lol. If someone DIDN'T get ridiculously nervous around him, I'd think that was really weird, you know. XD

Anyway, thanks! ^^ If the page you found was the "official" TCST MySpace, then that's only a small sample of their stuff... I think they have uploaded both songs from Prince of Darkness, then Merry Go Round and ネジマキ電気椅子. I'd recommend checking around for the album Living Dead Spooky Doll's Family in the Rock'n Child's Spook Show Baby !! (yes, that's the full title XD) - it can be very difficult to track down their maxi-singles outside of Japan, pretty much the only time you can buy their music is when they come to the US and bring all their CDs with them to sell, but this album has just about all the music they've released so far, and with much better sound quality. I got it from some website, like, "IsoTank" or something, so because it's a regular release it's available almost everywhere online ( ... )

Lol! Yeah, actually he really does do some amazing stuff. People tend to forget about that now that he's all famous, etc, but... he's famous for a REASON, ROFL. XD

Anyway! Yeah, you sound a lot like me in terms of what you expect during a show. I'm totally the most non-confrontational person ever, I'm tiny and non-threatening, but when I go to a show, I just totally let loose. Not out of anger, just because I can't help it, it's an emotional thing... plus, it just feels good to return the band's energy, right? I mean, they're on stage busting their asses for your entertainment, why not give some of that back? It feels good, and the bands do appreciate it ( ... )

Um... I think so? XD I know some friends of mine want to go, but even if that doesn't pan out, it would be great to see all of you. ^^ Do you know how much the registration would be for one day? I don't think I can make Sunday because I'm going to a concert that day, but I can go at least Friday... anyway, I'll keep you posted!
