Nah, the cobblestones buggerise your feet, the weather has been all over the shop, and we are being stalked by a feral soprano.
On top of that, there are wildly overcharging gelati sellers supplying Pingrid with unfeasibly large quantities of rather mediocre gelato, the Uffizi won't let me take the ONE photo I really really want in all of Florence, and the hotel is also very close to a Tom Jones impersonator. Ew!
On the upside, I currently have Pin on my bed doing dramatic recitations of particularly bad fanfic, so it's not all bad. Wish you were here, even if it would make you worry about our sanity. XXX BB
Not sure if they're still there, but there were a lot of arts students on one of the small streets that leads to the Dome, and one of them was drawing such an amazing picture with chalk that I looked back, crashed into the pot she had for money and then scrambled to pick up the money and put them back. the girl was listening to music on her headphones and onyl looked when the bystanders looked at me, and that was when i was collecting the money to put it back. That had to be one of the most embarrassing moments of my trips abroad ^_^
I loved the ice cream in Florence, and if you say it's bad, then the one we have here must be really lame :) I loved the city, though we didn't have too much time to spend there and I didn't see half of the things I wanted to. Have fun and tell Pingrid to do recitations of good fic ;) Maybe the other hotel dwellers want to be converted ;) have fun, ladies, and bring back lots of pics ^_^
