Mulling sans the wine.....

This week has been sort of 'down' and I've been looking back at the year and its changes. I still seem to be in a sort of semi-limbo over pretty much everything. As I've mentioned before I'm between 'doors' - having had one close but not finding the next one opening up yet. I suspect this is actually somewhat normal after a major loss. Your ( Read more... )

Hugs! So grateful to get to see you on this journey; you are being mindful of your process, and gentle with yourself. You are making me think, and I thank you for that.

It is, has been and will be interesting in all its facets. It isn't what I would have liked to do this year but life hands you things without consulting you first. So I'm making the best of it. If I have shared anything that folks find useful then I have benefited from the journey. If there's one thing I learned early in the journey it was that I could save others from pitfalls if only they took note of my stumbles.

It's just another form of therapy, in a way. Sharing my ups and downs helps and if it gives you something that helps you - we're both ahead of the game.

Thinking is good. Making plans and preparations is a major help for that 'somewhere down the road'. Having the plans in place and the preparations done is a major weight off the mind and shoulders. Don't hesitate to ask questions if something occurs to you. I like to share info. This is stuff that people really shouldn't put off or ignore.

How goes the settling in to the new home?

Our lives here so far look fairly different than we'd anticipated they would at this point, but we're working it. Still have many boxes to unpack, but starting to get lamps up and bookcases and dressers full, and out into the community a bit, so coming along reasonably, regardless. Thanks for asking. :)

Happy to ask! Afterall, isn't that what we really should do more of - communicate? Glad to hear you're settling in and the "lives here so far look fairly different than what we'd anticipated..." doesn't surprise me a bit. Life is an exercise in dealing with whatever cards you're dealt. Even a low pair can be a winner! Enjoy the challenge.
