Day 1 status

In order to stay caught up with where I need to be for NaNoWriMo I have to write 1667 words every day. Yesterday was one of my normal weekdays where I have something scheduled in the evening. So I was only about to write around 1000 words. Fortunately, I got up this morning and wrote another 600, so in my mind I'm where I'm supposed to be. This

Sorry, I haven't got a body count yet. ;) It'll be awhile since I'm still just setting things up, really. And I can't really fit fluffy bunnies in there either.

As to plot, well, I'm afraid it's not really a new one, though hopefully I'll at least make it interesting anyway. It's your basic Lost in Space/Farscape sort of deal, only my leading lady isn't any sort of astronaut. Maybe some day I'll let others read it, but what I've got so far would more likely turn them off of it permanently. We'll see...

Well, according to some, there is no such thing as a new plot, so no worries.

I've been known to think that myself, on occasion. But even if it is true, there are still plots that have been used less, or are at least well camouflaged by the author's own twists. My lady may take a slightly different route getting there, but she's still there.
