Taha Muhammad Ali is one of the leading poets from Palestine. Born in 1931 in Galilee village of Saffuriya, he fled to Lebanon, after his village was destroyed during the Arab-Israeli war of 1948. strangely, have been reading Taha Ali myself, his So what collection. compared to say Darwish, Taha's voice is sweetened bitterness and more searing. i like the inner voice or the thrust of his poetry. it is quite visceral. his is a vital voice for a place that it seems has died.
