Such a long week. Irritating customers, flaky coworkers, no management in sight, and tons of stuff to do. Luckily, I have a day and a half to recuperate before the next twelve-hour shift. I want to punch half of Arlington's population in the throat.

We have a few permanent residents at Petland. ( Cut for the possibly squeamish. )

That's very nice of you to give Frankenmouse a home :)

Frankenmouse may have mites as well... especially if she was in there with other mice. If there's a small animal vet nearby, most of 'em will give you ivermectin without too much hassle.

We treated her for mites for several months, and it didn't seem to have any effect. We just got a soggy, very irritable mouse when we used the mite spray. The actual medicine didn't do much good either. You're the small animal guru though; any other suggestions?

Well, the crappy mite sprays generally don't do it.... to get rid of it in guinea pigs, we have to treat with ivermectin (either shot/oral) and then sterilize the cage, generally for 2 doses, 10 days apart. :)

Other than that, I've got nothin. :\

maybe you could try some burts bees stuff on her? like the uhm, the comfrey salve stuff in the little green tin, or the apricot baby oil? all BB products are completely natural and should be non-comedogenic (won't clog pores), and as long as you don't think she might be allergic to some of the plant ingredients, it might be soothing to rub a tiny bit on her or something.

I'm kinda wary of using something so powerful on bald mouse skin, but I'll ask the other rodent gurus and see what they say. ^^
