A Little Disillusioned
Hey, all. (or whoever still hangs around here, i haven't seen a soul here in over a month)
I have to say, I am a little disappointed.
I've been hanging around both here and Heartless Fics for, oh, going on three-four years now. It's my sanctum for sanity in this nucking futs fandom. I love this place, the logic, the amazing writing, and the friends i've made.
But recently, it seems like this community has...I don't know. Started to crumble? I haven't seen a soul here in a month, and likewise on Heartless Fics. Posting has gotten few and far between, and a lot of my favorite sporkers have disappeared.
Not the reason for this post, though. It really hurt to see the really nasty argument in the comments of a recent spork. Now, I see how both sides were right, don't get me wrong. This isn't about the contents of the spork OR the argument. This is about why did we have to have an argument in the first place? We're supposed to be a bastion of logic, common sense, sanity, and tolerance in the KH fandom. Even though there were valid points in the argument, why did it need to be an ARGUMENT? Why did it have to get as tense, uncomfortable, and downright nasty as it did? We're sane fans, we've all been friends for a while. Can't we get along? It almost feels like we're beginning to act like the kind of fans we generally rant about.
I would really, really hate to see both communities die over this. I miss you guys. Every day I check both comms and see no new posts, I lose a little hope.
Please, remember what we're SUPPOSED to represent. If one of us has a problem with something in a post, can we please be civil about it, not start another argument and get the entire comm involved? If not, PM the OP and talk privately. I would hate to see the comms die.
TL;DR: Please come back and don't let the comms die; we're all sane fans here and I would hate to see a few arguments destroy what's been built.
