Hola amigo ....tomcanDecember 19 2006, 22:54:09 UTC
Feliz Navidad ! I see I have some 'catching-up' to do ... reading and translating! I've been thinking about going to a Spanish-immersion course in Santiago this year. Besides, it's time I returned to Chile - to celebrate the 'passing' of Pin8. Good riddance!!
How's the internship going? Or are you a 'resident' now?
I hope you have a great Christmas and a wonderful 2007.

I'm reading old entries ... In your most recent comment (2006), I asked if you were a resident ... I remember now that you were already a resident in 2004!! I must be getting old, Paco.
Well, I AM getting 'old' - 70 next April! And I just returned from Montreal where we had our 45th 'reunion' of my graduating class (McGill University - engineering). Walking the streets of my Montreal - brought back so many memories of those days when the Province of Quebec was a near-theocracy. Other than Ireland or the Vatican, Quebec was the most Catholic place on earth. Not the same today - after the 'Quiet Revolution' of the 70's.
In my days there it would be impossible to even consider missing Mass on Sundays and Holy Days - and the High Mass was sung in Gregorian Chant - in Latin, of course. So much has changed - me included - but I still know the Mass in Latin. I guess I miss those simpler days.
