[Kaoru's sitting on a bench outside, sketchbook in hand, watching some of the students go by. Once in awhile he'll wink at one of the passing girls who look his way, or stop for a moment to doodle something. He mumbles to himself quietly.]

Hm... commoners clothes really are quite boring, aren't they?

Well, I hope they are, since the looks aren't all that great! Comfort is the second most important thing, it's true, but it wouldn't be better to make clothes that could be fashionable and comfortable?

They're not terribly bad . . . I suppose some of us just prefer to be more modest, and there are people like you who'd like a bit of both the fashion and comfort.

You can be modest and still be fashionable! From what I've noticed, a lot of commoners wish for more affordable 'fashionable' clothes, so my family is just trying to figure out the easiest ways to do that for them. Plus, fashionable doesn't always mean it has to be high fashion. It's going to be everyday wearable stuff!

Irregardless, most people don't appreciate being labeled as "commoners", so you will come off as being rude to them.

I assume you belong to a prestigious family?

Do you know something better? Saying 'poor' usually doesn't go over well, from my experience.

Clothes! I told you about how mom and I were working on making clothes for commoners, right? I've been asking some of the girls around here what they like. I want to make something that'll sell that they'll like, you know?
