I was preparing some carrots to make lentil soup this evening, when I realized something, perhaps some would consider, awful. This was an emotional week, it seems. Besides Grandmom dying, I've been trying to get over a cold. I seemed to be getting better on Wednesday and Thursday, then Friday took a turn for the worse. We received word on Saturday that my Godmother had been sick and in the hospital for a few days. Sadly, today she passed away. I had no idea she was at all ill. Apparently she received a staff infection after her back sugery last year. That, along with diabetes, kidney failure, and possibly a type of bone cancer, she couldn't hold on. This ( Read more... )

The VCR was set for 7am: the time the New Zealand vs. India men's hockey game was to air. Again, there was no hockey. I'm starting to get really pissed off at the networks now. Don't tell me you're going to be airing one thing and show something else. I don't really care about table tennis. Arrrrrgggggghhh!
