It seems to me that these people who put ads up on craigslist for apartments for rent, don't actually want to rent out the place. Three days ago I sent out 6 or so emails and called one guy. No response, FROM ANY OF THEM. Am I saying something wrong? Am I going about this the wrong way? Is simply asking for more information and showing general ( Read more... )

I can't really understand your issues. As this seem pretty normal, we sent out 20 or messages, and only heard back from 3, maybe 4. From this view point it seems your problems are, A. Useing CL. And B. Bitching on here instead of sending out more emails.

I've mentioned this before, CL list CHEAP apartments. I cannot afford a $700+ apartment these mainstream apartment ads are listing. Not with the current expenses I'm paying. That is also why I'm still trying to sell my motorcycle.

And I am sending out emails.

Not to sound like a mega douch here but.....you were just bragging about your new 100 dollar a month cellphones. Seems your priorities are kinda mixed up. Guess you guys like having fancy tech over a decent living situation...which I can't even count on my hands anymore how many furries who share this problem.

Granted it not my place to really do this as its your choice, your life. Its just shity to watch, when I though you were better for Max. Granted I can't fix this on my end. I do wish you the best of luck, but this isn't really my problem.

I mean, if you really feel that Khirsah is spending beyond his means, you can certainly say so without implying that he's a) no better than the asshole furries who beg for Anthrocon money 'cause they're "broke" after having spent all their money on commissions and b) a bad partner. forrent.com has quite a few listings in the $600 range (mostly studios but some are 1 bedroom). Here's what they have in Bloomington. Maybe not ideal, but if you're not having much luck on CraigsList it may be useful. You may also want to try driving around the area you want to live and see what you find.
