The kids have been cracking me up this week with their shenanigans.

"What is going on back there?" me @ small children in backseat.
"We're playing the NO game." Sophie
""What?" me
"It's when the boys try to kiss the girls and the girls scare us away by saying NO." Kye

I see Kye is being well trained by my future daughter-in-law rofl

"Mommy, what kind of bug is this?" Kye says while holding a giant squirming centipede or millipede on a paper towel.
Over my chest. While I'm in bed mostly asleep.

I promptly jump 4 feet off the bed screaming and am now WIDE AWAKE.

Adventures in having a small child.

That was terrible.  A "fake-umentary" as the 2 hour opening to Shark Week.  WTF Discovery channel???  And the "Shark After Dark" show is bloody AWFUL.  This sucks so bad.  I look forward to Shark Week.  Granted, there have been a few off years in the past.  This was so horrible though that I may just stop watching.  I guess Discovery is now fully ( Read more... )

A very inspirational acquaintance of mine passed away today after battling MS most of his life.  He was a teacher and a music lover.  He believed in supporting the local music scene.  He believed in giving kids a role model in a wheelchair.  He kept fighting to live 20 years after most people would have given up.  He not only LIVED those 20 years; ( Read more... )
