Yesterday at work we all got an ominous email. On less than 24 hours notice, we were informed we would be having an hour long meeting, offsite, with HR people who are flying in from elsewhere, on a payroll friday, and nobody in management knew it was happening. This is from the Friday night dance. I've decided Kino might bite for anything requiring good audio synchronization. It seems not to have any way to paste video on top of a separate audio track. You have to put the video together first and then dub the audio over it. Oh well, maybe I'll check out Cinelerra.

So I went to Further Confusion last week and had a blast. Seriously - Best Con Ever. I didn't know they could be that fun. Back in the day it seemed like fursuits were almost an afterthought at cons. Honey, I'm cubing.
So I bought this thing several weeks ago and I've developed a bit of an obsession. At first it took me 20 minutes to solve, then 10, 8, 5, 3 and now I'm doing it between 1:30 to 2 minutes. I'm using the easy method that comes in the packaging. I might be near the point where I'll have to switch to something more complex if I want to get much faster ( Read more... ) -

I guess I'm giving in and getting one. Don't expect lots of posts.
In other news, visiting the local fairs recently reminded me of some of the roller coasters of my youth in Denver. The Wild Cat was actually pretty tame, but the easy ride made it the most fun coaster at Elitch's for a little kid. It was built in the 20s, then revamped in the 30s.
