I'm still procrastinating, so here's a to-do list

I am having Thesis Problems (namely that I hate it right now and don't want to see another book on theory of anything ever again, and probably not any chronicles either) so I have been procrastinating in three of my favorite ways: dancing, cleaning my room, and reading ALL THE FIC ( Read more... )

hockey, random babble, thesis? what thesis?, fandom, football

wheeee reclist! um, I think you should organize it however makes most sense to you, and of the possible additional info I'd say the most important are completed/WIP and warnings (I usually think unexpected -isms & abuse are more upsetting than specific forms of kinky sex but mileage may vary), and then mayyyybe epic/not-epic in terms of length, but I am clearly very idiosyncratic in terms of how I rec so maybe ignore me? also since most hockey fic is on the AO3, you can always use the "link to this fic" tool they have -- it'll generate all the basic info for you, including pairing, length, rating, summary, etc. /$0.02

(also I've been away from twitter having a fucking insane day all day long but ~hugs~ about Javi and Granero, I didn't realize that had happened until I read it here.)

I just have dreams of a super-organized and user-friendly rec-list with separate pages for pairings and... basically this is going to end up as "Jennifer's Massive Guide to Hockey Fandom, with added fics" even though I still know fuck-all about this sport... SIGH.

But yeah, today was not a good day for my fave 'ballers. Javi, I've seen his move to Bayern coming for a while. It hurt, but... it's done. Granero-to-QPR kind of blindsided me a couple hours before tonight's match but based on recent events, I'm inclined to believe the rumors. The fact that he's leaving having just won a trophy makes it even more bitter. (The only bright spot was that the celebrations basically included CONCRETE EVIDENCE OF MY OTP in the form of them wandering around ten feet behind their ~ecstatic~ teammates with their arms around each other looking like someone had just killed their dog. Which, honestly, not really a bright spot.)
