I actually wasn't circumsized until fairly recently (necessary, medically related reasons) and the difference between one and the other is fairly underwhelming. My parents saw it as a more or less pointless operation that introduced unneeded risks, so it wasn't anything that I had done until it became an issue on its own (which is fairly rare). Yes, the american public is highly retarded about the procedure and it's an unnecessary risk that many kids go through... but I kind of don't think it should be compared to female circumsizion. They actually remove the clitoris in that procedure, which would be equivalent to removing the glans of the penis. With the clitoris removed, a woman can never experience orgasm or have real sexual pleasure.

Ouch, I never realized they got rid of th clitoris too, I think theres different versions of it in different countries, I was only thinking about ones that do the labia

Some cut the labia, some places actually sew the labia together leaving only a small hole for urination, some sew them and *resew them* after sex, many places cut off the clitoris. The idea of that is to deprive the girl of sexual pleasure so she won't be tempted to have sex.
