Not posted in my LJ for sometime, Today however I use it to mourn the passing of my beloved Sadie. Ive owned her since I was about 6 years old and having no brothers or sisters myself my cat has kinda filled that gap for me. Hey, I'm really sorry to hear that you lost your pet like that. It seems like she had a pretty good run though... she was what, 16? If nothing else, she got to be around her family the whole time when she went, which is good.

Wow...that's rather abrupt. I had someone like that in my life years ago. I still remember getting him from a petshop in the mall (of all places) and having him by my side for over twelve years.

He got to be 18, which is rather old for cats, and I can't remember why we had to eventually put him down. I spent that final night with him, but I never went the next day to the vet's. And the house felt strangely empty since that point, until everyone moved out a few years later.

Nevertheless, I'm sorry to hear of the loss...

I am sorry to hear of your loss and mourn with you. Losing a family pet is very hard. The passing of my own cat two years ago was tough, and like your cat, it was a stroke that crippled him. They can come out of no where. *hugs* my thoughts are with you. Just remember that your love gave her a warm and caring environment to live in. She had a good life with such a friend as you :)
