I got pain exactly like that a couple of months after Christopher was born. It happened twice. The first time I was afraid I had a kidney infection but then it went away. The second time it came on a lot slower and I realized it was a muscle spasm. If it happens to you again take four advil and put a heating pad on it, it works wonders.

I did use a heating pad... and it's the only thing that really helped. Well, maybe the shower did too.

I also thought it was my kidney. I even looked up symptoms of kidney stones online, to see if I could diagnose myself. Nice to know it's not my kidneys!

Ick! Not fun when you're by yourself. Glad you're feeling better!!

I'll be on the lookout in case that happens to me.

I got a really sore lower back when Laura was younger. Though I'm pretty sure it was muscle strain, because it was right about the time I was starting to put Laura in her crib for her daytime naps, instead of having her sleep anywhere. So, I think it was the constant bending and lifting. It took a couple of days to get over though and didn't just disappear suddenly.

Well, it may have disappeared suddenly, but it came back the next morning. Then on day 3 I was great all day, but come evening it came back again.

So either I'm getting the same thing each day, or it's something different now. Either way, I hope it will stop happening soon. I'm going to try to make sure I'm careful when I lift Luke.

The heating pad is my friend.
