They were expert swordsmen. One was an expert flautist; the other was a young, promising athlete in a game of balls and bats.

Heavily wrinkled sheets provided the backdrop for the teenager's dancing, uncontrolled limbs as the sounds he uttered climbed higher up the octave. The rhythm grew faster, senseless words uttered louder and higher as the symphony entered the climax.

"Encore?" Takeshi turned to Ugetsu, smiling in the afterglow as soon as he found his breath.
