Plumbing woes

So our kitchen double-sink seems to be clogged. It has been like this for days now. To boot, said clog seems to be impervious to all forms of vigorous plunging as well as to toxic acid gels specifically engineered to destroy it and all of its ilk.

Sigh.

maybe it needs to be "snaked" ?? My mom had a similar problem w her laundry tub and that is what they did...

Yes, I am thinking that's what we need. Looks like another trek to loews.

it can't be snaked at the drain, the shield is welded to the sink. i think anything is going to start with disconnecting the trap. we have a pipe wrench.
