BA chapter 351 spoiler thread in a nutshell:

Mar 25, 2009 21:03

- Ichigo is a plotkai ape and Kubo is clearly hopped up on hallucinogens for making him defeat Ulquiorra.

- Ulquiorra's character has been fucked six ways to Sunday, therefore Bleach is trash and Kubo is the epitome of evil.

- Kubo is trash for not making the fight drag on for the better part of our adult lives, therefore everything is plotkai and ( Read more... )

Haha, I love BA (faults and all), but the chapter thread and its cries of plotkai are just plain annoying this week. I'll steer clear of it for my sanity at least for the next couple of days or so, until the chapter comes out.

Meh, Ichigo's been stronger than Ulquiorra since Chapter 194 or somewhere around there (while Ichigo's power is fluctuating, Ulquiorra clearly mentions that Ichigo is sometimes stronger than he is). The sudden power-ups have been in Bleach since the very first chapter (seriously, he turns into a Shinigami and is immediately stronger than Rukia? Wut? Although, Kubo later retcons this and makes it implausible that Rukia even had trouble with that hollow in the first chapter ( ... )

He pretty much has been. And it also irks me that people think this..thing/glorified Allon type beast is somehow a power up for Ichigo. I guess it makes him more ruthless, but at what cost? At the cost of utterly losing his humanity? And it also begs the question as to the hero/villain dynamics that has been going on in this fight, yes? How can we truly reconcile ourselves to an Ichibeast without a shred of humanity, without a shred of his niceness and nobility and accept him as the 'hero'? Ulquiorra seems to appear more and more human (in direct contrast to Ichibeast), for all his bloviating about true despair or otherwise. So really, these chapters for me have opened up a lot of questions about the nature of the hollow/human dynamics and kudos to Kubo's brilliance for that.

Bleach is so noted for using inexplicable power-ups. Whyo suddenly complains when Ichigo powers up in Chapter 351? I guess it's different for Ulquiorra fans when he does it to Ulquiorra (yey, double standards).Word. Much as I love Ulquiorra (I really really do ( ... )

I can't say it any better than you, so I won't. XD

Its because there is no consistency within the fights, nor any real reason for anyone getting any power up unless just to go "yeah, I'm stronger then you now hoo haa!" I think what people were wanting was a fight fight. Not one person owning the next out of nowhere, but meh, I've given up on trying to understand zee concept, so enjoying it for what it is.

Everything in the world of Bleach is plotkai. I am tired of fighting people on this one. -__-

I do think that Kubo takes more pains to set up power ups or at least explain the nature of them and how they pertain to the situation than we give him credit for. I mean, the beast Ichigo has turned into now, is that really a power up? How is it plotkai if Ichigo had to practically die in order to become this mindless Allon thing? Ichigo turning into a hollow beast ain't a power up in the traditional sense, it comes at a great cost to Ichigo himself, that being his very humanity and cognition. That's why I cannot really brush it aside as a run of the mill plotkai, you know?

I think people were just hoping for a drawn out Hollow Ichigo and Ulqui fight since we have had to digest some rather vomit inducing things from a certain person. So to have his head lopped off so quickly after Ichigo turns hollow has pissed off some people. I understand that Kubo has set up the nature of the person's strength and power increasing, but I guess alot of people put their expectations on what those increases would do. I'm still going to wait and see what Kubo has planned before I give my thoughts on this chapter. It isn't plotkai, absolutely. I think people are just disappointed because its being made out that this is the end.

I think this is the beginning of the end, but I honestly don't think that this chapter is it. Ichibeast's cero is white and that cero blast on the last spoiler pic was two toned, I think that Ulq managed to fire one of his own black Ceroes at the last minute, that would explain the two colored cero blast. But lets see.

Either way, I'm sure that this fight will be over in a couple chapters, at the most. Also, I'm pretty certain that there will be an Ulq backstory and subsequent UlqHime interaction. These two things are inevitable.

Ho ho ho ho. I eat plotkai for breakfast! I ♥ plotkai!

Don't know if the chapter's out yet -- just saw the spoilers on bleachness. I just thought... hey, isn't it weird that Ulquiorra has a spear if he's supposed to be a bat? Then I remember, he also has weird bull horns. Conclusion: no, this is not supposed to make sense.

Jeez, these people need to lighten up. If they want something realistic, they should go read a newspaper.

Haha, a bat with horns brandishing a lightning spear = proof of how 'realism' functions in Bleach. xD

Seriously, people need to lighten up and just enjoy the ride. If we're going to obsess over the minutiae of what constitutes plotkai, everything from the first chapter of Bleach can be deemed thus. 8D

Tbh, I'm sick of people complaining about both Ichigo's and Ulquiorra's power ups. I can complain about certain things (mostly Orihime's uselessness) and I know people should vent once a while. But good god, must people complain all the frigging time and every-frigging-thing? The chapter thread is a place I don't go in for the past few months now. I posted the damn summary and go back to rep a few people who thank me then get the hell out. Fanboys who whine and insisting things 'should' go-how-they-see-fit-or-else-it-sucks and fangirls with shipping agenda of it's-all-for-IchiHime-and-IshiHime/UlquiHime-don't-stand-a-chance make me sick of that thread ( ... )

Seriously Annie. All that talk of plotkai in the chapter thread just makes me want to scream. I totally understand the need to vent, but week after week? About how this sucks and that sucks and how Naruto is sooo much better or how everything is plotkai shit etc etc? It would be somewhat palatable if the complaints where consistent, but the fact that people contradict themselves week after week just for the sake of nay saying, is just. Argh ( ... )
