That's funny, I thought showing patriotism was in the pursuit of freedom. Many people came together to settle and develop America. One of the most powerful symbolic stories of our nation is how a group of people fled to America to have freedom to practice their religion, is it not?

But I guess those such as this Sullivan would focus on the fact that they came here to practice a form of Christianity and so that's the only faith that applies.

The people who are trying to eradicate the separation between the Church and the State bother me.

Oh, and welcome to my journal.

She (Sullivan) is, in my opinion, a crackpot. Actually, all fundamentalist Christians are.

I wrote this piece because I was kind of pissed that the city I work for was going to adopt the "In God We Trust" motto and place it on display at the City Hall. So I called Sullivan to gather more information about her organization that was promoting this.

She wouldn't shut up. So, in my silent protest I just published this, nothing more than an interview, but I want to at least put the word out.

Given my position at my job, it would probably hurt me more to do oppose her, and, I even called up the ACLU (just to try to get the other side of the story) and they said it was completely legal.
