So, to go with the new flat, a new job. I've been promoted to womenswear manager at Watford. Yay!

Also, I went to see Romeo and Juliet at the Globe last night. It was a truly awesome experience - we were in the yard, the standing area, and the stage was right in front of us. Despite the drizzle, we had a great time - the actors sang and danced ( Read more... )

Glad to hear it! Congrats! :D

Also we went and saw R&J and I agree with everything you said! I loved Mercutio the most. And yeah, when they acted like a real troupe singing before the show began I was so impressed!

Although I hasten to add my ticket wasn't free! That's so sweet he gave you his spare. However, I also wasn't religiously assaulted on tube...Win some, lose some, etc. <3

Yes, well, it's been a while since any nuts have got hold of me, so I suppose I was due one. He looked like a sweet old man, and then I saw his eyes, and realised he was mad. Also, he was actually salivating, which was, um, unsettling.

Thank you! It comes with lots of pressure, but it's a good challenge...

Mercutio was brilliant - I spent most of the quieter bits figuring out his interpretation. Did you get the impression when he got all wound up in the Mab speech that he had lost a child or a lover? There was another speech later as well that made me think that...

Did they sing about turning off mobile phones and not using cameras? I thought that was hilarious.

I loved Northern Nurse as well. There's something so comforting about a northern accent.
