I had a really great event this past weekend. I had a lot of fun with only a few moments of high stress, which was exactly what I needed. ( Highlights Below Cut )
It was a pleasure having so much Kiala time this event. He fits quite nicely with our little band.
We haven't pulled you into kami stuff yet? Allow me to rectify that. It's been among some of the most fun stuff out there and I've had a blast with it.
I'm very thankful to Rick/JJ/et. al. for letting me stay in their cabin this weekend. Having such a calm place to retreat to was very helpful when I was coming into the game with so much stress.
You're welcome any time. :)
Going back to the Forest of Echoes was satisfying. I felt kind of bad for how heavy the encounter with the master of the Path of the Dancer by the Water's Edge was. I got the chance to speak of and perhaps let go of a little guilt from my character's past, which was cathartic both in- and out-of-game.
Why bad? I got the impression that encounter was meant to be heavy.
I feel the ice cream fight should be a guide for all of us going forward. #1 - rest ALL THE TIME. #2 - ICE CREAM
I made the horrible/wonderful decision to challenge him to Gazelle for our final style.
So from the outside, this was fantastic to watch. I might have killed you if I was in your group, though. Running is not something I do well. :)
I suppose I meant "unexpectedly heavy," especially for you/1KR. I thought the mod was wonderful, but I don't think any of us were ready for it (not strictly a bad thing).
I really enjoyed the mod to save Tall Pines. I wish I had gotten a little more personally involved, but I was being my usual shy self.
Yay! I'm glad you liked it :) I tend to be shy the first time I interact with any given NPC, so when I can, I like to give you guys multiple shots at it. Is that something that's helpful to you, or are there other things that make it easier for you to get involved in an encounter like that?
That being said, even after being thrown tail-first into a spider cave, I think I picked the correct path for Kiala. Not that the choice wasn't obvious
Yessssssss :3
I'm glad that you were able to be involved with some more things this time! I know it can be hard when you're stressed going into an event, but I'm always really happy to see you on my mods and encounters :)
Copy and paste it. If you're using an html view you can just highlight the text and click the italicize button. If you're using straigh text editor, then put HTML italize tags around the text.
it can be difficult to realize that I need to pull myself out of a situation and that it is okay to do so
It comes with practice. Remind yourself of it before game. Don't be afraid to talk to others about it. We've all been there. It really does get easier the more you do it to just accept that you have an "excuse" that everyone accepts as valid and everyone uses at some point. You'll get it; I'm confident.
