I CRAWLED ALL THE WAY UNDER THE HOUSE TO GET AT THEM, YOU BETTER LOOK AT THE CUTE!
Remember that post with the brown cat, Juno? Well, she had kitties! And a lot of them. Right under the smoke house on the farm. And I just had to be the smallest brave one to go under and get pictures of them. There aren't a lot since I only had so much time as it took Juno to finish the milk I brought, but I got enough to make it count!
Now as a reminder, I was under a house. A country house. Not a very roomy place to be; I got so dirty...! Anyway, that means the pictures were taken while I was on my hands, knees, and sometimes even stomach. Some were taken while fighting with a squirmy fuzzball as well, so no complaining about the fuzziness!
It may just look like a tiny mass of fur, but there are eight kittens there at about a week old. So far as I could tell, 6 are the same color as Juno in varying degrees of brown with splotches of white in places, 1 is solid and kind of black/brown (can't tell until we get it out of there) and then there is a bright orange and white one.
I felt bad about disturbing them, but I was being ordered by those not under the house to make sure I got a head count. That meant unearthing the two that had gotten buried in the fuzz when we'd first thought there were only six. At least I got to see their cute little faces!
This is Smokey. Yes it's already got a name as in this Tennessee household, the unanimous decision was the the orange one be kept for the next generation of farm cats. I'm just happy it didn't get named BIG ORANGE, or something. XP
This is the only solid kitten (and a real feisty one that definitely did not want me holding it). Still not really sure of the complete coloring (it was dark, and I was colorblind), but it'll be going to my aunt and uncle who found Juno in the first place. They've yet to pick a name, but the black cat they've got right now is called Noche, so maybe another black-based name.
The rest of the pictures are pretty bad, so they're not going up. Maybe I'll go out and try to get some more later. For now though, there's some cuteness to brighten up your day~!
