So, my neighbor has been coming over to visit a lot lately, and today she knocked on my door with a bloody rag around her hand. She's really poor, and didn't have any bandages or anything, and she'd sliced her hand wide open on a can. I brought her upstairs and bandaged it as well as I could for her, but I really think she needs to go to the

What an interesting anecdote though. I'd say people suck, but I'm a person and I don't. So are you; you took care of her and you don't suck. Obviously if she was worth taking care of she doesn't suck. So the problem isn't people. Just the ones who laugh at their friends' injuries.

Understanding is overrated. Compassion is the way to go.
