Honey, I'm home!

Well, I have officially moved back home now. It was fun trying to cram an entire apartment into one room of my mom's house (did you note the sarcasm?), but I've got everything more or less set up. Still waiting for my stepdad to run the cable into my room and I've got stuff to take over to my grandmother's for storage but, other than that, the room ( Read more... )

And FYI that butthead still hasn't texted me back. He's supersweet, but not always the most communicative. If I don't hear back by tomorrow I'll email his fiance. I talk to her a lot more and she's less... flakey!

Glad you're back - hope you had a nice holiday. Re: the photography thing - if you're just starting out, you could probably just make up a price for shooting her wedding? $1500 maybe? I don't know - I'm just throwing a number in the dark. I guess you'd have to think about what you feel your time would be worth - and you'd probably be there beforehand too to take getting ready shots, etc.

There's a person who I read on Open Diary who is a photographer - she started out freelancing and has turned it into her own business - even allowing her to quit her day job last year. Her website is www.meganphoto.com and there's a way to email her and stuff if you have questions - she can probably give you some pointers and such about what to charge, etc - she's done it!

Good luck with it. :)

You were invited anyway. ^_- But I still feel the need to pay you for not being allowed to sit and enjoy the wedding, lol. Still kinda working on the numbers; we haven't worked out a budget yet because that would involve sitting down with the parents and asking how much they're contributing (they've said they're going to, but no numbers have been mentioned, lol).

...wait. You'd actually be going to NZ? I think I might die of jealousy.

And I am SO with you on the foodservice! I paid my dues for two and a half years; now I want a real job. Any real job, lol.
