Yesterday was so much fun! Since it was a federal holiday, Jasper had the day off, and because I was scheduled that way, I also had the day off. So, even though he never really wants to go anywhere, he went with me to Deception Pass! I neglected to remember that it WAS a holiday so it was incredibly busy, but it was also incredibly awesome.

Before we went to Deception Pass, we went out for lunch. TJ came with us. We tried to go out for Pho, but stupid pho place was closed yesterday and today for the holiday. Sad day, but we ended up going to Ginger Boat instead for some alright Teriyaki. I've decided that really the only kind of rice I like is Jasmine rice, so the rice was a bit iffy, but it was okay.

After Ginger Boat, REI was having a sale, so we went over there and checked that out; nothing worth buying, unfortunately. It might be a "sale", but with REI that still means expensive.

We dropped TJ off at the apt, and then headed down to Deception Pass. From Bellingham, Deception Pass is about 45 minutes away. A little far, but the views are spectacular:

That's the view from the bridge itself.

That's a view from the "island" in between the two bridges. It's not REALLY an island, just kind of a big rock.

They were thoughtful enough to warn us!

And finally:

...a nice shadow picture of me! I actually really like this picture; I think because my hair was all wispy.

After we left Deception Pass, we stopped by the Deception Pass Cafe and Grill on the way home and had some delicious (albeit, a bit pricey) ice cream. The flavor I got was Huckleberry while Jasper stayed safe with Mint ChocoChip, (but wishes he had gotten the Huckleberry as well). It was $3.95 for a waffle cone with "one scoop", which is actually two, but totally worth it if you ever get the chance.

Since it was nearing dinner by this point, we stopped and picked us up a pizza for dinner! Large Two-Topping Carry-Out from Pizza Time is only $6.99 and is enough to feed us. So awesome!

And thats my day!
