So, I've been hearing about everyone's vids being taken off YouTube due to their sudden move to enforce copyright laws. That kind of sucks. I don't think I've seen one vid where the song wasn't credited, and the show, obviously. Also, vidding? Total advertisement for both the music, and the shows.
And thus YouTube goes the way of Napster. See, all these people get these great ideas for free internet sites, ad then everybod who shouldn't be whining about free advertising gets their knickers in a knot and decreases their business two-fold, because they lose the free advertising, and the consumers aren't going to want to buy from such over-protective bitchy bastards.
Yeah. Probably preaching to the choir, I know....but bah. Things like this irritate me. It's not that I'm for stealing people's work. It's just that I think the big industries should lighten the fuck up and realize it's FREE FUCKING ADVERTISING, HELLO!
I think some of what they were shitting themselves over was that you could get whole episodes of shows from YouTube. I myself have watched missed episodes of Atlantis on there. I also think that they should be more selective about what they delete. If they are going to do this then they need to just go after the real crime of the law and leave people’s expression alone. They are only pissing people off.
