Pasta 15 Recap

Feb 25, 2010 22:33

Complete recap of episode 15, the drama just had to be summarized :) It's quite long, so it will be put under a cut.

The chef and Yoo-Kyung ride the bus. Yoo-Kyung doesn't want them to go "what the heck" with their relationship, she still wants to learn more from the chef and doesn't want to get them fired. The chef replies with "I don't like my kitchen without you, I can't even imagine it". (OMG *melts*)
Yoo-Kyung wants the Chef to teach her, for her to become his disciple. The chef doesn't like that and instead wants her as a "love disciple" (so damn cute!).

The ex-president rushes inside San's office full of glee.

"So what" is San's reply to the ex-president's news. He's like "HUH?". He goes on a tirade on what the Chef has said before and that he should be fired and he's contemplating on who will fire him. He's trying to convince San that firing him means no more headaches and the kitchen running smoothly.

"Just because someone likes someone else in the kitchen, we can't fire the chef", says San.

He also says that it's not that they went into a dating frenzy and caused some disturbance in the kitchen and affected the restaurant (I Love you SAN ♥). The ex-president isn't happy and storms off.

In the kitchen the guys are talking about salaries and apparently the ex-president still makes the same amount of money he did when he was president... WHA!

In the morning Yoo-Kyung greets Seol (the ex-president, to long to write that), but he bumps her. When he comes to retrieve a plate, he says it's not perfect and that he only delivers the best food and then proceeds in bashing Yoo-Kyung. The chef orders her to proceed to her next order and calls Seol "Hall Maknae" - meaning "lowest of rank" (hehehe) and tells him off (mwuahahaha). There's a battle going on and everyone's all confused and Seo-Yeong asks Sous-Chef to re-do it because the food grew cold and so she joins as well. Who's right, who's wrong and the Chef is annoyed because a mere waiter is questioning his ability. Seol yells out "Are you two dating or SOMETHING".

Seo-Yeong and the Chef are having a discussion. The Chef doesn't want her to butt in. Seo-Yeong tells him that he's making it obvious and that the whole staff are watching them both. The chef replies with "That's just like you, Okay. You can butt in, but only in the kitchen, you got it?" (he can be harsh, ouch).

The kitchen staff, well the waiter department are all proud of Seol and allow him to sit with them and eat lunch (Huh?). Team Italy choose Yoo-Kyung, if the Chef and Yoo-Kyung are dating. They like her better than Seo-Yeong. Ji-hoon Lee refers it as adultery, the guys don't agree, but he says that adultery is something most disliked by everyone, the Chef slaps him one (LOL) and they apologize (cutely). The Chef ask them if he and Yoo-Kyung look good together (lol). They are all "HUH", but you will get fired and he's like "yeah". Phillip says that there are other beautiful women out there and why her. The Chef replies with "Do you want to die?" (HAHAHA). Woo-deok Seon asks the Chef if he's lonely (hahaha) and says that the chef has to endure it and that Yoo-Kyung is not allowed, ever.

San comes up to Yoo-Kyung and start listing his good qualities and says that he's a decent catch (yes, I will catch you). He says to Yoo-Kyung that he likes her and she's like "I like you to", but he's referring to like like and he says it one more time. They both look pensive. Yoo-Kyung talks to her father about San. Her father asks her what's wrong with him, she says she likes someone else and so they list Chef's qualities. Her father tells her to go with the first guy, she asks him why and he replies with "because I'm your father".

San's sisters comes in and tells San that she knows everything about his cactus story. She wants to meet Yoo-Kyung stating that whatever San wants, she will make sure San gets it. She meets Yoo-Kyung in the locker, but they don't exchange much.

Yoo-Kyung bumps into Seol and she asks him if her dish wasn't worthy of being sent out. He tells her, her dish was perfect. She's confused and he tells her she'll soon find out and leaves her. Seol meets team Korea and drops a bombshell. He tells team Korea that they are being underpaid and that Sous-Chef earns less than team Italy. He tells them the chef made him sign the contract and he was pretty naive (*snort*) about it. He achieves one goal... (bastard). Lee hears everything and tells the rest of the gang that there's trouble. The guys storm into Chef's office and demand to know the truth. The chef goes to San for the truth. San says all the contracts must have been finished by Seol. Chef demands to adjust all salaries and he thought team Italy made the same amount as the rest of the gang. He informs San that Seol is making trouble with it. Chef asks San if he's just going to sit and watch just because it was all done before he came. San doesn't offer help and instead says that the kitchen is divided even without raising the salaries.

In the kitchen you can feel the tension. There's a change in order and Chef assigns Sang-sik Han a dish and he refuses. He says that there's already a salad special and why should he change it. The rest of team Italy backs him. Chef tells them he made the menu, he can change it whenever he wants. Seol comes in and puts icing on the cake. Chef is pissed and switches team Italy to make the recommended dish and he takes the grill as well. Team Korea just stands and watches on. Seo-Yeong orders anyone who doesn't want to cook out of the kitchen. Team Korea wants to know why they aren't being heard and Seo-Yeong tells them that in the kitchen what the Chef says, gives. Chef begs them to start prepping, they reluctantly move. The Chef looks really hurt.

Yoo-Kyung and Eun-su Jeong are bone tired. Chef walks in and ticks Soo-Jeong on his forehead. He's tired as well. He's sitting close to Yoo-Kyung and soo-Jeong warns Chef that everyone is watching them, waiting to catch them together and he says something funny "do you know how many knives are in there?" (LOL). He's frustrated and says that when he looks into the mirror, he sees all these white hairs...(hahaha). Chef motions him forward and ticks him one more... so painful. Yoo-Kyung wonders how long they will last in keeping their relationship a secret and Soo-Jeong wages one month, no a week and he wagers his whole home and his attic (lol). The chef says it'd be a miracle if they lasted 3 days.

In the bathroom, Seol is drowning himself in hatred. Soo-Jeong finally tells the Chef that Seol is still making the same salary as he did when he was president. Chef asks him why he's telling him now, he casually says that the chef was mad before (hehehe). In walks team Korea and tells the Chef that if the two of them are dating, they won't stand for it. The Chef is ready for war, but in walks San and tells Yoo-Kyung to go with him if she's ready. She sees it as a good opportunity and leaves with San. Chef doesn't look all that happy with things. Team Italy invite the Chef over for a drink.

San knows what Yoo-Kyung did. She tells him that she thought things would be awkward between them because of what he said earlier. San asks her if he wants to join him for shopping. She agrees. At the bar, Chef tells the guys that if they have any complaints, to tell him freely. Phillip volunteers and the Chef smacks him one! (OMG! LOL). Next comes Ji-hoon Lee, he asks the chef if he's happy to be sharing an office with Seo-Yeong... and he receives a smack as well (hahaha). Woo-deok Seon scared to say anything, doesn't say anything and Chef smacks him one either way (HAHAHAHAHA). Hoon Lee tells the Chef that because he shares his affection this way that team Korea doesn't understand his sincerity and compares it to the size of a small rock... and he gets another smack.

At La Sfera, team Korea and the girls share a meal together and spent some cozy time together.

Chef heads home and stops at Yoo-Kyung and Seo-Yeong's apartment, but Seo-Yeong informs him that she isn't home yet. He comes in and drink coffee with Seo-Yeong. He thanks her for her support in the kitchen. He tells her if she had used honorable means to defeat him, if he would still have loved her as Chef Choi second place. If he's that kind of man. He tells her that if that had happened, he would have left her. That's a really shocking confession. Either way he would have left her. A man's pride is something to fear.

Chef goes outside in the cold to wait for Yoo-Kyung. They pull up and Yoo-Kyung tells San that she likes the chef. San is such a sweetheart. He already knew he was going to be rejected. Yoo-Kyung feels bad. It's the first time she's rejecting someone, she'd rather be rejected than to do it to someone else.

Chef stops them. Yoo-Kyung is happy to see him, but chef grumbles "You little...". Chef's really drunk and proceeds in saying that if San assigns salaries in order of favoritism, Yoo-Kyung would be getting the hightes paid salary and he'd be the lowest pay (hahaha). He tells San that the highest paid person is Seol and asks San what kind of standards he uses to judge payment and proceeds to tell him how Seol got fired and how he got in.

I disagree with San. He says that Seol has been there throughout the years for La Sfera and that he build the foundation for La Sfera and that he deserves to get paid that much (what a load of crock!). Chef tells him that the chef's have been there as well and deserve a raise as well. San stand his ground with Seol, so Chef says than he would tell all the rest how much Seol makes. He has a rather loose mouth. That Seol split his kitchen in half, he will let San deal with the chaos and says: "Although my taste buds are quite elegant, my speech is really cheap" (Waw... awesome).

Yoo-Kyung tells the chef that next time, even if it's on purpose, she'd rather not get into San's car. Chef asks her why she rides with him anyways. She tells the Chef the fare is expensive. Chef compares their car and says that San's car is even more comfortable than his :) and asks her what the fare is. She tells him she gets car sick and might vomit. Chef tells her she should have vomited all over the car (lol). Yoo-Kyung tells the chef that her father thought San was better for her. "Then Am I a bad guy?". Yoo-Kyung tells him, yes. Chef asks her what she thinks. She tells the Chef she's the daughter that always rebels. The Chef tells her the stay a rebel (so cute!). He tells her to go in and sleep, she just sits there next to him, he tells her a couple of more times and then tells her that he needs to vomit, that's why he's telling her to go inside (LOL, so cute).

The next day, San tells Seol that he will have to lower his salary as that of a server. He tells him to bear with it. He tells him that if Chef Choi didn't know about it, it would have been another story, but if he spills the bean, he might have to leave the restaurant. Seol has blood in his eyes (now I get his rage).

The kitchen's already a mess, in walks Seol and starts spouting profane words at Chef. He tells the whole kitchen that he saw Chef and Yoo-Kyung kissing. Team Italy says it's not possible, but team Korea isn't buying it, so they are asking him for the truth. He tells them that Yoo-Kyung likes him, but however, he loves her. He looks directly at her when saying this.

That's what Seol wanted and proceeds on spouting "you're fired", Chef pushes him away and says that he has caused them to mistrust him, but for loving Yoo-Kyung, he won't be asking for forgiveness. so that's why he's leaving the kitchen. Yoo-Kyung's crying, but the Chef's happy. I think he's happy to have that burden out in the open. Not that Yoo-Kyung is a burden, but that they were keeping such a lovely relationship a secret. Some of the staff start crying as well...
