Perfect
Henry was getting annoyed by this man’s defiance. Can’t the stupid man just give up already?
“Tell me where he fucking is!” Henry hit him until he had a black eye.
Henry was about to hit him again but the man began to comply. “Okay…okay don’t me anymore!” The man begged.
“Henry!” A voiced called out.
“Heechul, Hyung!” Henry greeted. The couple looked at the bruised man and looked up at Henry holding him by the collar.
“Didn’t know you had it in you.” Heechul said.
Henry blushed and then turned back to the guy. “Tell me now.”
“He’s i-i-n m-my basement!” The man shouted.
“Where?”
The man stuttered as he gave his address.
Henry took his keys and then punched the man so hard he knocked out. “Can’t trust you just yet.” He took off the black ribbon from the man’s wrist.
“Let’s go save Ryeowook.” Hankyung said as they ran back to their car.
Hankyung started the car and sped full speed. Heechul drummed his hands on his knees as began to be impatient.
“Ryeowook…I’m coming.” Henry clutched the ribbon in one hand and prayed that Ryeowook would be safe.
Chapter 13
The car arrived in an old house that looked like it was about to collapse. It was shabby with a water-downed yellow color and the house looked like it needed a new paint job since 1901. They opened the rickety gate. Henry was about to sprint to the door when Hankyung stopped him.
“Why are you stopping me?!” Henry asked, trying to keep his impatience low.
Hankyung pointed to the floor and Henry looked down.
“There are bear traps and trip wires everywhere.” Heechul observed.
“Dammit!” Henry cursed.
“We’ll have to go in slowly.” Hankyung advised.
They slowly stepped past the bear trap and the trip wires. The weeds and dead grass made it hard to distinguish the trip wires, but somehow they managed to. As they finally reached the door, they heard a beeping noise. They turned to the yard and saw a squirrel had bit a wire.
“Don’t tell me that’s a…” Henry’s eyes widened.
“We have to get Ryeowook out of there fast!” Hankyung shouted.
They broke the door opened and looked around for a way to find Ryeowook. Henry was getting worried. A bomb was going to set off anytime soon. Damn that idiot for putting the bomb there in the first place.
“Bastard.” Heechul cursed and Henry knew he was talking about the same person Henry was thinking of.
The three heard a crack and looked down. Before they could jump out of the way, the floor had already given way.
“Ouch…” Henry said and looked up. “Ryeowook!”
Henry saw the boy tied up to the pipe and his mouth covered with tape. Ryeowook was unconscious. Henry scrambled over and yanked the rope off of Ryeowook and Heechul ripped open the tape.
“Hen…” Ryeowook’s voice was hoarse but he smiled as he saw Henry holding him.
“You’re okay!” Henry hugged Ryeowook.
“Yeah…I know we’re happy and all, but we’re going to be blown in to pieces if we don’t run.” Heechul said.
“Crap!” Henry shouted.
Hankyung found the bomb and matched the second on his stop watch. “We have three minutes before the bomb detonates.”
The four got up to their feet and found a stairway. The door seemed to be lock so Hankyung used his shoulder to break open the door.
“Two minutes!” Hankyung shouted and they were in the living room. The hole they made was still there.
“Is there a door?!” Heechul looked around.
“There’s…one at his kitchen…” Ryeowook whispered.
Henry, carrying Ryeowook bridal style, ran out for the kitchen along with Heechul and Hankyung. They were in the kitchen and there was a stench.
“Fuck there’s gas on too?!” Heechul was exasperated.
“One minute!” Hankyung shouted.
They kicked the door open and there was the yard.
“There are no traps right?” Heechul said.
“None, the man must have entered his home through this way.” Hankyung said.
The three along with Ryeowook still in Henry’s arms ran past all the weeds and dead grass and what looked like dead animals. As they ran out of the yard, they jumped and ducked at the same time to bomb had detonated. They rolled safely into the middle of the street and watched the destruction.
There was a huge explosion as everything in the house including the traps, dead animals, and the pictures of Ryeowook were forever destroyed by that flame.
The four finally relaxed and sighed now that they were not in little pieces. They got up and saw the sun has just rose and the light hit their faces. Police car sirens and firemen were heard and they stopped in front of the four males. The firemen rushed and put out the fire. An ambulance had also come to take Ryeowook on the stretcher. Henry ran and held Ryeowook’s hand as they put him inside the ambulance.
“Do you want to come kid?” The paramedics asked. Henry nodded and joined the ambulance with Ryeowook.
“Ryeowook, it’s going to be okay.” Henry brushed his hair away from his face. Ryeowook nodded and the oxygen mask was placed on his face.
“We’ve got to treat him fast.” The paramedic told his assistant. “He has lost nearly two pints of blood.
Henry stared at the paramedics in shock. Two pints?! With Ryeowook’s weight, he could of barely handled one pint loss. The gas in the house was also turned on…Ryeowook’s survival was a miracle.
“Don’t worry, get some sleep, I’ll be here when you wake up.” Henry soothed Ryeowook who had tried to stay awake.
Ryeowook nodded and drifted off. Henry flipped open his cell and called Hankyung.
“Hyung, did they catch the men?”
“Yeah, we’re going to show them where they are now.” Hankyung said.
“Wait, does that mean you’re driving right now?” Henry asked.
“Uh…Heechul’s driving…”
“Oh, well since there are cops, I’m sure he has to drive slow…” Henry said.
He could Hankyung gulp. “They gave him a siren and permitted him to drive as fast as he wants as long as the men are ca- Heechul! Watch how for the cat!”
Henry could hear Heechul laughing with joy. “I feel sorry for you right now hyung.”
“If I don’t make it out alive, kill Heechul for me. Ow! What was that for?!” Hankyung shouted.
“No one kills Kim Heechul.” Henry heard Heechul say and the Canadian boy knew Heechul was smirking.
“Okay, we’re here now. Good the police has arrested them, well I have to go now. Heechul wants to let Rin and Twiiyh know where Ryeowook is. Twiiyh must be worried. Bye.” The phone shut off with a click on the other end of the line.
Ryeowook woke up and found Henry by his side, sleeping and using the side of Ryeowook’s bed as a pillow. He looked at the room and saw Heechul sitting on Hankyung’s lap with his head buried by the crook of Hankyung’s neck. Rin and Twiiyh had their back against the wall. Everyone was sleeping.
He felt the side of his bed move and saw Henry open his eyes. “Ryeowook!”
His shout had made everyone wake up.
“You’re okay!” Twiiyh shouted.
“Yeah.” Ryeowook looked and saw an IV attached to him.
The doctor came in and announced, “Ryeowook can be discharged as of today.”
The people cheered and there was a knock on the door. A policeman came in and said softly, “Sorry to ruin your celebration, but Ryeowook has to come to court now.”
“Are you feeling well enough to go to court?” Henry asked.
Ryeowook nodded. “I’ll be okay.”
“Twiiyh, we have to go manage our café…” Rin said.
“Crap! See you guys.” Twiiyh and Rin waved good bye as they dashed out of the hospital.
“Come on, we’ll take you to court.” Heechul handed Ryeowook some of his clothes and Hankyung grabbed his jacket and Heechul’s jacket also.
“Henry, can you help me take Ryeowook’s dirty clothes into the trunk?” Hankyung asked.
The Canadia boy nodded.
They finally arrived at the courtroom and Henry held Ryeowook’s hand for support. Ryeowook had to release Henry’s hand when he went inside the courtroom to the plantiff’s area. Hankyung Heechul and Henry took a seat in the front row on Ryeowook’s side.
“All Rise.” The deputy said when the judge came in.
Everyone rose, even Heechul, as the female judge came in.
“Have a seat.” She announced.
The court procedure went on and Ryeowook was almost about to cry as they brought up horrid memories to examine. He suddenly felt a warm hand on his as turned a little to see Henry holding his hand. Henry smiled and him and continued to look at the courtcase.
After a grueling three hours the judge came up with a sentence.
She cleared her throat. “The eleven men,” she read their names “will be sentenced to 25 years in jail for sexual assault and harassment of a minor, Kim Ryeowook. Mr. Kim will be sentence to 50 years for sexual assault and physical abuse of a minor, Kim Ryeowook. Finally, the man” she read his name “will be sentence to 60 years for sexual assault, physical assault, and attempt of murdur. Case dismissed.”
“All rise.” The deputy said.
Everyone dispersed from the court and Henry hugged Ryewook tightly.
“You must be exhausted.” Heechul ruffled his hair.
“Kim Ryeowook.” A lady said.
“Yes?” Ryeowook saw the lady was in a business attire.
“I’m from social services and if you want, we can help you locate a foster family for you to stay in.”
Before Ryeowook could answer, Heechul already interrupted. He opened his fan. “Sorry miss social worker, but Kim Ryeowook as of today will stay with this man and I.” Heechul touched Hankyung on the shoulder. Hankyung nodded for confirmation.
“Is this what you want Ryeowook?” The social worker asked.
“Yes.” Ryeowook smiled brightly for the first time in a while.
They arrived at Hankyung and Heechul’s apartment and Heechul tugged Hankyung in.
“You promised.” Heechul tugged Hankyung into the bedroom and locked the door behind them.
Henry and Ryeowook stood there and giggled. Ryeowook gave a big yawn and closed his mouth embarrassed.
“Do you want to sleep?”
Ryeowook nodded shyly.
“You can use my room.” Henry led him to his room and Henry was about to leave when Ryeowook grabbed his wrist.
“Can you stay with me?”
“Sure.” Henry blushed.
Ryeowook got in the bed and Henry grabbed a chair.
“Come in too.” Ryeowook made room.
Henry slipped in and Ryeowook used his arm as a pillow. They stayed in silence.
“Henry…”
“Yes.” Henry looked down and saw Ryeowook in tears. “Why are you crying?”
“I…may not be the perfect boy. I’ve been used and abused already, but if it’s okay with you, can we still be together?” Ryeowook said the last part in a whisper so low Henry almost missed it.
Henry wrapped his right arm tighter around Ryeowook and used his left to brush away tears. He kissed Ryeowook on the lips and smiled. “To me, you already perfect…you’re my soulmate.” He whispered.
Ryeowook smiled and kissed Henry on the cheek. Henry pulled the covers around them and slowly they drifted in a peaceful sleep that Ryeowook hadn’t had for years.
Ryeowook doesn’t know what the future hold for him, but as long as he had Henry…everything would be okay…
No…everything would be perfect.
