I'm applying to the Capitol Fellows Program through the Cal State.  I would be accepted to one of four institutions; the state assembly, the state senate, the governors mansion or the supreme court.  It would pay me a $2000 per month stipend, plus full med/dental/vision benefits.  I would also recieve graduate credits and of course connections and

If you go for a teaching credential WAIT until you have landed a tenured position before going for the MA. A lot of HSs will shy away from the advanced costs of hiring you. But once you are in and essentially tenured it starts to make a lot of sense to get a terminal MA.
