I realized that I haven't been updating. (obviously)
I've been working up until the wee hours of the morning for the past two weeks. It's fun, and I'm learning a lot... the job's unlike the few occupations I've been exposed to and *gasp!* do I have to add up the fact that I ended up in advertising! A job which I "solemnly sweared" that I wouldn't end up in, when I was in college. (I'm working for the best below-the-line [BTL] advertising agency in the Philippines right now, Multimedia Exponents, Inc.)
Well, yes, the fatigue and stress have caught up to my frail health. I've been sick, and I absented my self from work since yesterday. I was prescribed rest for at least 2 days. I had fever, cough, colds and vertigo!
I like working. Makes me feel productive and essential. I like the friends I've met at work too. I'm just not used to the unpredictable hours and late-nights. It's so different now-a-days that I barely see the people at home. I literally sleep to wake-up, and work myself to sleep.
The only complaints I have of my work and the office are probably the silly rules like not being allowed to snack or drink [even water] in your workstation, when you barely have time for yourself; or being available for meetings without prior notice. But all in all, work's been good and I've been blessed...
Sometimes, even if I want to complain, I know that I don't have the right to, especially because I prayed for a job and knowing that there are many out there who don't have jobs.

The MANGGYAN Medical Mission is on its 20th year of service. It is a four-day, "no-budget" mission: volunteer doctors, nurses, dentists and students have to pay for their own expenses, and bring their own equipment in order to help out.
All donations of medicines and surgical-dental supplies/equipment throughout the years come from kind-hearted individuals and organizations.
MANGGYAN Medical Mission brings big-time specialists/consultants from Surgery, Pediatrics, Orthopedic, OB Gyne, Pulmonary, Cardiology, Neurology, Radiology, Opthalmology, Dentistry, etc. to the far-flung rural area of Pandan, Antique to serve over 2000 underprivileged patients from all over Antique for free.
It is a genuinely humbling and learning experience.
We need your help to serve others more. :)
For those who want to help out through donations in cash and/or kind may do so by contacting me (leave a comment or through my mobile.#:+63922-4635577) or my dad, Dr. Bob Alojipan (mobile.#: +63917-2706399).
