I am no clean freak, but when we eventually get rid of the horrible grubby beige carpeting in the sitting room we'll probably go for a hard floor so that it's easier to sweep and mop it. I'm not a big fan of laminate everywhere, but I think it'll make a big difference - it'll be easier just to sweep up kicked sawdust. We may also switch to paper-pellet bedding for the beasties if we can find anywhere at a reasonably convenient distance that sells it.
I do have some standards regarding cleanliness; I don't like things to be sticky, or piles of washing up left sitting. But I have a fairly high tolerance for paper-clutter, and that does catch the dust somewhat.
We have laminate all downstairs (which is where the majority of cat hair/litter in paws ends up). It is a lot easier but shows the dirt up more! I end up sweeping like twice a day! Although I do have yoga students in and out so have to make a special effort
Still coughing away, though I did manage to go to work today, which is more than I managed yesterday.
I would very much like to write some reviews - it's just a question of having time. Last year I took part in the RIP Reading Challenge - a horror/scary fantasy book challenge that's held in the run-up to Hallowe'en. This year, I haven't submitted a formal list yet (though there's still time, I suppose).
I'm happy to hear you're feeling better. The link looks interesting, but I'm standing at a computer thingie at uni with a really bad keyboard (like a really bad typewriter), so it'll wait until tomorrow, where I, hopefully, will have a little time to spend online :)

And I hope you'll write some reviews. I already have a million books to get through, but I need to see something new on my list ;-)
