Sooo...Ken lost his job. Right before his 3 months, so we aren't getting any $$ from it. He still hasn't found one, and it's crazy stressful. I'm sure we'll be ok, but yeah, bad timing. He also didn't tell me about it for a week b/c he didn't want to "ruin my bday." So that made everything worse of course. We've pretty much been back to eating

I'm sending good vibes from Vancouver. Everything will work out but I know it's easier said than believed. Shit like this sucks but you will be fine, better in fact.

Ah, it always sucks, especially when it seems like there are less jobs to be had. When I got laid off around this time last year, it took me nearly 6 months to find anything. A lot of friends back in Cincinnati have been getting laid off, too, only because their companies can't afford to keep them. They're all collecting unemployment now (which, to be honest? Fuck, I could totally live off of the $350/week some of them are getting from unemployment). In any case, I suppose he can find solace in the fact that there are a lot of other people in a similar situation right now and it suuucks.

But he sounds like a completely capable dude - it may take a while to find something but, once he does, I'm sure it'll be wonderful ;]. I'll send some positive thoughts your way :].
