did you write this, or is it from a book? either way, it's amazes me you could pinpoint something so profoundly succinct and 'aware' and lay it down like that. we share a lot in common. esoecially act on: "to let my machines fall into disrepair?" TURN THAT BEAST AROUND! and the financial lifeline really does hold one back. think of it as living with financial subsidies to yourself, and that cutting that lifeline cuts your artificial, lifestyle-inflating subsidy. strip yourself bare, don't rely on $credit$, own up to yourself, and learn to thrive in the free-market of society. you can do it, I know you can do it, C. maybe it's not that urgent, yet, but work towards your own personal success thru making rather than taking, even if it's benevolently handed to you. you know. you know what holds you back. you know what you need to thrive ahead. you're that kind of person (from what I can tell). i don't usually rely on capitalist analogies for much, but for the self making it dans le monde, I think it's essential. more so that for our

They are beautiful because they kind of had to be. When you're stuck in someplace shitty, you are forced to either deal or be destroyed by it. The people who are destroyed by it end up either dead or forgotten, and the people who deal necessarily find the resolve and strength they need to do what they need to do. Thing is, for every hard working and beautiful person coming up out of desperation, there's at least one other who didn't make it to the surface and who ou will never hear about except as a body found on a corner somewhere. It's disgusting, really, that people have to live like that--or worse, die like that. Thank god for the ones who make it out.
is it only through tests and pains and extreme adversity that a human being can begin to reach their highest potential? Are priveledged people stuck being less amazing than those children? The kids are extraordinary because the circumstances in which they were born are extraordinary. If one is born into a comfortable suburban home and leads a relatively boring life without ever facing the hardship that people like the kids have, how can he ever hope to be come such an extraordinary person. though it may be less common i dont believe that hardship is neccesary to become great. just a mind that understands what it means to be great.
