it just shows that we are incomparable to Him. that our peak of strength is just a "bad hair day" for God. i wonder if he has those. that kind of reminds me of a quote that i absolutely love

we shouldnt strive for his level, because it really is unattainable. but instead we should focus on achieving simple what he has asked us to. we try to make everything trendy and smooth and since God isnt trendy and smooth, our lives are going to suck until we try to do what he has told us to.

we all have a road with our names on it. we need to walk on that road, or we're just always going to be lost.

its really that easy.

true that, ruelio. sometimes i find myself swaying towards someone else's path, but like ashley said, once you really experience him, he never lets go.i find that when i get side-tracked, he always re-aligns my strut. the real problem, i think, isn't the slip-up. but rather, the resistance to be pulled back in. how often are we fighting for ourselves, in place of fighting for his will?

Okay, I know this a late response, well early really, it's 7 am on Sunday and I've been up since 5:30, so uh..it's almost lunchtime, but...where was I going with this? Oh yeah! 1 Corinth 1:25 - Can I just say I SO revel in making a fool out of myself for God - (ooh, that's a Paul thing, isn't it?) God's not this all serious, strict, stuffed robe with great posture, He's wildly funny and creative, hilarious in the things He shows himself through (hellloooo ~ a donkey talking? Numbers 22!!!) Foolishness of God is wiser than any great high and might man thought. And strength? Hello again, a small stone penetrated the skull of a giant. It wasn't David's aim or how far he pulled the sling back, it was all God. Just cool. What a ride to be on :) Melanie
