What a big day.
I was late to work.
Then as usual had an encounter with the secretary
Mr. Jensen walks in needing a simple proof of insurance.
Christopher goes to the filing cabinet to get his file.
Secretary hands Christopher a file.
Secretary: Here you go, Mike Jensen.
Christopher: Secretary, this is Robert Johnson.
Secretary: Right, Jensen.
Christopher: No, Robert Johnson.
Secretary: No, his name is Mike Jensen.
Christopher: I'm aware but the file you got me says Robert Johnson.
Secretary: No it says right there Jensen.
Christopher: No, there's no "O" in Jensen.
Secretary: Well maybe it's under Mike instead of Jensen.
Christopher: It wouldn't matter, that file still says Johnson.
Secretary: Are you sure it's not supposed to be Johnson?
Mike: Yeah...it's Jensen.
Secretary: Well then why did you tell me it was Johnson Chris?
Fin.

So work plods along, I had a long pointless appointment for a policy that would have generated a whopping $22 a year. no joke. then it turned out I couldn't even do that because...well the guy was inelligible.

Then after work shopping for dad's big 50th birthday bash continued. After dropping about $200 at Albertsons and Costco with Daniel, I made the journey back to mom and dad's house where I made macaroni salad, potato salad, and prepped chicken and ribs for the grill for about 70 people. Always interesting in a home kitchen.

My aunt Kathy and cousin Ashley are in town. Ashley kept pacing through the house and I asked "Run out of things to do?" then she quietly slunk off. Then it dawned on me...whenever someone older than me would ask that...it usually meant they had some mundane task that they were too lazy to do waiting for me. I felt bad. Oh well.

So now I'm back home. And my back really hurts, my moms counters are way low. Oh well.
