Ok.. so I am supposed to be typing three history and physicals for three new patients I saw on Monday…but that does not seem to be happening so figured I would post instead ( Read more... )

Arrrgghh!!

So many frustrations!

I'm sure the forms will be okay but I'm sorry you have to deal with that. I suppose the different sheets go to different offices and therefore need the same info but you would think in the age of data entry and computerized info they could take care of that.

As to the other stuff, I'm so sorry your not feeling well!

I have had what I think of as a strange "fluttering" hearbeat issue for many years. My last doctor sent me for a number of tests and it always showed up fine. I never got to wear something though :). It actually doesn't happen often anymore (and even when it was more often it wasn't very). But when it does it sort of appears to me to speed up, slow down, get irregular, and then go back to normal. As I said - sort of a fluttery feeling. Weird. Even weirder, as it happens, it just happened the other night. Probably so I could remember the details to respond to your post... my body must be psychic :).

Normally I dictate my histories and physicals but since it was a sibling trio it was easier to type them up myself and cut and paste somethings which are similar for all three kids.. but i still have to sit down and motivate myself to type the first one...
the heart monitor thing is just more annoying more than than anything...but at least then there will be piece of mind.. the Dr. Said assuming nothing shows up which is what they expect that this is the last test for this.

Sorry you're having so much frustration, but thanks for sharing it with us! :-) Hopefully you'll only have to fill out all that paperwork once!

As for the rest (shouldn't "H and I" be "N and I"? did he change his name when we weren't looking?), I can't comment on the first problem - though I hope it's nothing serious! - but I have a thought on the second. I was having ongoing nausea & stomach cramps a few months ago, went for an ultrasound (ick) which showed nothing... and ultimately it turned out to be a urinary tract infection. This may be overly simplistic, but do you whether that's been considered as a possibility?

H = husband
Good thought about the Urinary tract infection.. but the pain was too high and not really stomach crampy but a constant boring pain. MOre reflective of an ulcer type pain. PLus the medicine the doctor gave me has helped some but not resolved it completely.

Ah. Well, I hope they figure out what it is soon, and it isn't anything serious.

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. (How's that for an oversimplification of what you said? :) ) The monitor sounds like a cool, if annoying device. If I had one of those, I'd change my heart rate on purpose, just to see what exactly happens when one does that. But then, if I did have a monitor, that would mean that doing such a thing probably wouldn't be a good idea anyway.

As to the issue with the paperwork, I suggest a radical course of treatment: amputation (of the paperwork). That would cure the stress brought on by bureaucratic red tape; however, it would not help with the licensing.

Either way, good luck!
