I think you (and all of us, readers) understand and love House & Wilson more than the writers.
Beautiful scene, so sensitive and moving.

(I read your rant too, btw, and WORD to all of it.)
"You’re a pain in the ass, House, but I love you anyway."
Awww. That's why I love those two.

also, "Lately, it seems anytime I’m handed a beverage, my state of mind is significantly altered." lol. Poor House. Even if he deserved some of what happened, for sure he didn't deserve everything.

The medicine in that episode was so awful even for me, who know nothing about this kind of procedures.
Honestly I can't understand House's passivity and acceptance: so he thinks he deserves everything bad that happens to him and forgives everybody. Ok. Do they forget about Stacy? They don't remember the love of his life? The person that under a lot of pressure took a decision out of his hands and tried to save his life and was never forgiven? What about the deterioration of the H/W friendship during the Tritter arc, again because someone, who loves him, took a decision from him?
Sorry about my rant... But that plot point really annoyed me...
But your fic makes everything better. With lots of Wilson. Like it should be in the episode. All the episodes. Wilson can make everything better!

known as acetaminophen here. and yeah--i know. so... trying again [answered this a few comments up]. it is my contention that house takes large doses of NSAIDS [my guess, judging from my own experience, would be ibuprofen, probably 1200mg/day, 600 morning and night] as the combo increases the pain relieving efficacy of both the hydrocodone and the ibuprofen. i once had a friend who had chronic pain and an allergy to NSAIDs. Her doctor told her, whenever she'd claim her meds weren't working, that it was a pity she could take only tylenol [acetaminophen/paracetamol] to supplement, as it hasn't the necessary anti-inflammatory properties. and with house, in my opinion and from my own experience, as i said upthread, taking ibuprofen for chronic pain is as boring and necessary and not worth mentioning as taking laxatives for the constipation hydrocodone causes!

didn't for a second think you were 'fishing'--just wasn't something that had occurred to me either. and i realize many of us already have out-of-control f-lists--but some folks [i'm looking at you silja_b] are just worth friending. ;)
now get back to giving every appearance of working before you make the rest of us slackers look bad [my house has begun to make audible noises in its bid for my sorely needed attentions].
