This is truly fantastic, and I don't have words for it. But I like the recognition that they have both made mistakes, and that their friendship is indeed real, and so important. Wonderful job.

First, thanks for the "heads up" that you were writing again..and WOW. Talk about being worth the wait! Phantom limb; physically absent, yet capable of causing agonizing pain in it's absence. Perfect. Now, if we could just get David Shore to co-operate...

This is a lovely story. I came back to this line:

"Maybe we could... be okay again."

about fifty times!

I really like the idea of House making an effort to change for Wilson. I wish something similar had happened in canon!

Love. Love. Love.

I have no words left, sorry.

I think I am amongst the few who like this season so far (as I said, I watched only three eps anyway)in the same way I loved S3. The two men are hurting each other, yes. In S3 House did hurt Wilson, in this one it's the opposite. I don't like it, except that I like it. Because it preludes a reconciliation, which I could die for if it was like you wrote here.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!

the characters of house and wilson really do engender strong emotions in us, don't they? and i know just what you mean about not liking/liking the pain they bring us. also, fortunately, this angst gives us plenty of material for our fiction! :)

and, as always, you're quite welcome.
