Fire and I were listening to Car Talk earlier, and they had one caller who tried to drive his Golf GTI (diesel) through a foot-deep puddle of water. I had to look up what a "Hydrolock" was. In my brain I'm just going "ok, well, just let the water out!" but it seems like it creates this unbelievable pressure that ruins the piston. The wikipedia article on it has a picture that shows what happens and it's BAD. Wow.
