Just out of pure curiosity, I pulled up my old domain, kieferskunk.net, to see what had happened to it. Sure enough, a domain squatter is sitting on it now, and it's a generic search page. But I was amused by what I saw there

Y'know what's really irritating about domain squatters? More often than not, it's the registrars camping on the domain rather than actual people. There are loopholes in the ICANN statutes that allow registrars to obtain and camp on domain names for pennies on the dollar.
I have less of a problem when someone is paying the $10/year charge or whatever it is to keep a domain, but these registrars are cheating, plain and simple, and the ICANN just looks the other way.
