"Support, a word that means, in a way, to carry. Thank you for carrying it, for carrying me. You never said to my face that you understood love mattered in just this way. But you showed up."

This goes into my favorite quotes, boo-frikking yakka.

" Who out there has hoped to change me? What out there has tried?"

One who never hoped and never aspired, I suppose she in a sort of way, just showed up- and sent my life crashing to the ground between our feet.

I kinda enjoyed it.

Wonderful passages Kieli, I've never read anything by Bett Williams - yet. Any recommendations?

She only has two books out to date but she used to write for Lesbianation.com. You could probably find more of her work by using Google. Girl Walking Backwards and The Wrestling Party are her only book length works out there.
