There are all sorts of things that I was going to post about, but I don't feel like I can talk about trivial things until I talk about Tom. I hadn't posted so far because I don't really know how I feel about it. I been bouncing between disbelief and anger mostly. It doesn't help that it happened so far away; it makes it all the more un-real.

It's kinda silly but...

I know so many of us have lots of positive memories of him that I'm sure his family would like to hear. I was thinking, that with so many pictures of him in the media database and in our own personal collections that we're too lazy to upload, we could each make, like, a scrapbook page dedicated to some fond memory of him and then send the scrapboook full of pages (or hand deliver it) to his family.
As for third hand info - I talked to his Aunt...I think there will be one, once his family gets some closure of their own and finishes getting in contact with all their relatives.

I talked to his cousin last night. She said that Tom's parents are flying to China on Fri to tell his sister. They will do something when they come back.

Maybe ask the aunt or cousin if they think his family would appreciate that. I like the idea, though.

This is Tom's sister, Lindsay. I was looking through his friends recent entries because I, too, am looking for some closure, when I saw your entry. We are planning on holding some type of service but not until I return home from abroad and probably not before memorial day weekend.
