So I don't know if anyone on my FL reads Homestuck. It's a webcomic which I currently enjoy quite a bit. It's long, complicated, involves a ton of time paradoxes and is generally pretty awesome. It also uses the web well - by that I mean many pages are animated gifs, there are frequent flash animations that include music, and there are several ( Read more... )

I'll check it out, thanks!
(this is your official positive reinforcement reply. You should post more!)

In other news, my nephew (13 y.o.) discovered D&D at Pennsic 5 days ago, and now whenever he opens his mouth, he can only manage a feverish babbling sound. Sometimes he froths at the mouth, a little, whenever he mentions wyverns. (He's still at Pennsic. He sits in the barn all day and consumes nothing but beef jerky and Mountain Dew).

We should start that gaming group.

Yay for positive reinforcement! :p I just never know what to post, though. I'm very boring.

And awww, new gamer! They're always so cute and idealistic! ;P How'd you enjoy Pennsic, btw? I had a horrible time the one time I went, but that was for reasons not related to Pennsic itself.

As for starting up that game... I'm not sure I can run anything. ^^; I tried running something for my Saturday group, and it ended up falling apart. :(

I mean, it's going to be pretty experimental, anyway, b/c of schedules and also technology. So maybe something short? With the understanding that we might not finish it? We could take turns running it, even. A series of short (mis)adventures.

Pennsic was a blast, but I was only there for a weekend, and I came very near to heat exhaustion on the first day (so I went and took off all my clothes...). Didn't you basically have heat stroke when you went? Anyway, I was telling Rebecca that I think it would be very fun to meet up there as a group. It's like camping, but with more things to do and far fewer bugs (and, like, no trees for miles). I think we could enjoy ourselves immensely. And I learned to play shogi!
