I hate my current living situation. I love Mike and Jamie but lets be honest, I'm one of the few people in this world willing too put up with either of them for any real length of time. I'm sick of the bills not getting paid and even more sick of never having time to myself. I watch Orion during the day because Kessa and David can't afford daycare ( Read more... )

*hugs* Wish I could wave a magic wand and make it all better and turn Jamie and Mike into a princess and a prince instead of toads.

I know some people who say the same thing. This summer I'll be going on my second study abroad trip, and half of my friends just look at me and mutter jealously about how they wish they had money to throw around like that. And, like in your situation, most of them DO. I take student loans, work my ass off for scholarships, go to school full time, work 20 hours a week, and save at least half of nearly every paycheck I get. That's how I afford two $5000 study abroad trips in two years. Meanwhile, most of the people who are complaining spend about $200 a month on going out to eat alone, not to mention all the other stupid, petty expenses (cigarettes, gas for a ten hour round-trip drive to stay somewhere for two hours, way too much liquor, etc., etc). I always find myself exceedingly irritated when people complain of not having money, and then fritter it away without even thinking or trying to plan a budget.

That must be terribly vexing. *frown*

I know what you mean about alone time, too. I'm a solitary person by nature- give me an hour or two of socialization a day, and I'm more than fine. Hell, one of my ideas of an 'ideal' weekend is to spend an entire weekend at home, alone, doing whatever the hell I want and not having to bother with seeing other people. It's not being depressed, it's just enjoying being alone.

And, to answer your question about how everyone is.... I'm doing pretty well. The semester just started up again, as did work, so I'm incredibly busy, but am actually enjoying it so far. (Let me tell you, medicine has made a world of difference for me in the last three months). I just found out I can graduate with my two degrees a year earlier than I thought, so that's definitely a motivating factor, *lol*. And... Hm. Sadly, my life seems to revolve around school and work, heh. Now that the break's over, that's pretty much all I'll be doing with my time ( ... )
