I know it's outdated, but I still use VHS tapes to record programs off of the television. DVR is great for things that you want to watch once or twice and then erase, but if you want to keep shows indefinitely and you don't have a DVD burner, then VHS is the only alternative. hopefully you still can find the Gold ones which are EHG that TDK used to make. That was my favorite brand and at one time one of the more high end but affordable VHS cassettes.

It's still not that difficult to get VHS tapes over here. I think we are just at that point where more people are begining to have Dvd players than video. we're probably about 70/30!

Now get back in your time machine, return to the 80's, and buy stock in Apple computers and remember to bet on the Red Sox winning the world series in the 2000's... become a millionaire!

I only have a few VHS tapes left. Of things not released on DVD. And a few things I taped off the TV.
They stopped making new VCRs a few years ago, you can only get them in DVD-VCR combos now.

I'm sure somewhere back home there's a box of old VHS tapes with shows and movies that have been recorded sometime back in 1980 and 1990-something ago.

Also, is that your vanity plate, or just a coincidental find?
