As a teacher, I thought the speech president Obama gave to school students today was extremely inspiring. If it inspired just one student who was going down a path of destruction, it was a success, in my opinion.

Yesterday I found out that there is a water polo team here in Laval and my heart was filled with a panging that I haven't felt in a long time. I just NEED to play. So my dad is visiting and we were coming back in the car from hanging out at and near the Hard Rock in Montreal when the car in front of us slams on his breaks AND TURNS ON HIS FLASHERS. He was a little ways up, but when you are on the highway (even on the off ramp, as we were), that gap can be closed really quickly, so my husband slows down. ( Read more... )

So, yesterday I went in for an interview at an English Public School. It went about 30 minutes and I was fairly sure I did well.
