On Torment

So, I finished Torment: Tides of Numenera. It was good! It was very Planescape: Torment-y, which is exactly what it said on the tin. In the manner of one who spent the whole game comparing, I have some various and sundry thoughts. I started playing Tides of Numenera when it was first released, but despite the comparison to Planescape: Torment, it never managed to hold my interest. I would like for a game like this to exist; I greatly enjoyed Planescape: Torment, and a system based of Numenera rather than the hoary D&D system is at least novel enough to be interesting. I'm just not sure that the particular game that was actually released is polished or deep enough to be worth it.

I feel like this is probably the best Planescape: Torment "sequel" we're likely to get, unfortunately. I thought it was worth playing, but I understand why some are disappointed with it.
